Jonathan Phillips Desnick
Jonathan Desnick bought his first stock when he was 9. He dreamed of being a Classics professor from an early age, and after four summers excavating in the Athenian Agora in Athens as a high school student amongst graduate students, he went on to study Classics and Archaeology at Yale, graduating cum laude. At the end of his freshman year, he was accepted early into medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai without prerequisites or the MCAT. After his first year of medical school, he worked for the MacArthur Prize winning scientist and his Yale PhD partner who formerly ran Carl Icahn's healthcare portfolio. He then traveled to England to read for an Mst in Ancient Philosophy at Oxford. Throughout all of this, however, he continued to devote the lion's share of his free time to investing.
